Topics will include professional behavior, personal conduct, organizational skills, presentation of work products and time management strategies required to manage competing priorities at work. This workshop is best suited for<em> participants that are recent graduates or about to graduate from high school. <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Workshop 2: The Current Landscape &#8211; Understanding the Labour Market and How You Fit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Participants will discuss the current labour market trends in their local area. This will build an understanding of how skills, interests and abilities fit into the current labour market and which industries are popular and up and coming. This workshop will encourage participants to explore numerous approaches to networking with employers to discover which works best for them.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Workshop 3: Taking the Mystery Out of Job Postings and Resumes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This workshop is targeted for participants who are wanting some assistance with resume and cover letter development. Matching your skills and experience to an employer&#8217;s needs is the key to developing resumes and cover letters. Find out what it takes to market yourself effectively and apply your learning by working on improving components of your own resume and cover letter.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Workshop 4: Putting Your Best Foot Forward in the Interview<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This workshop is suited for participants who have had few interviews or who are getting interviews but not receiving job offers. Participants will learn about the various styles of interviews and other application testing. Stress management skills will also be discussed to manage anxieties regarding interviews.
