ALT is commonly integrated within a previously developed learning system or housed on an external platform. Some technologies support online learning environments affiliated with universities or vocational training institutes. Colorado Technical University, for instance, integrates Intellipath into their online vocational training courses in order to provide personalized learning for their students. Other technology is housed on a unique online platforms that require users to sign-in in order to access the learning environment. Several of online learning platforms, such as Knewton, allow users to sign-in through their Google Account so that users do not need to remember individual usernames and passwords for each account.
