Essentially, the aim of my blog is to touch upon marketing and how it affects everyday businesses. What I will try to do every week is look at a specific business and how they utilize the forces of marketing to operate in today’s rigorous and competitive markets. I believe that only by seeing an example of marketing in action can you really appreciate the essence of what it really is.
Hello there! This is my first actual blog entry about myself… Here I go.
My name is Alex Diep and I am a 2nd year business student at UBC. My hobbies include reading memoirs, experiencing different cuisines and cultures, and making money whenever I can. After finishing 7 months of work at Scotia McLeod, I have really taken into consideration a career in the capital markets. That is why, on top of my full course load at Sauder, I am also enrolled in the Canadian Securities Institute -finishing Volume 1 of the CSC exam next month. In the near future, as I complete my B.Comm degree, I plan to acquire the CFA designation, as well as the CIM, in hopes to become a certified Investment Advisor.
I am now here at Sauder continuing my journey here at UBC and life. My aim in life is not to attain a huge mansion in West Vancouver nor buy a black lamborghini. Rather, I hope to establish myself and serve society in any way I can and to continue to make all those proud of who I am.
