Ottawa greeted us with a warm, sunny day for our Guernica spring launch (May 5, 2019) at Vimy Brewery. Thanks to all those who turned up to hear us read despite the gorgeous weather. Special thanks to the Italian Ambassador Claudio Taffuri and his wife for attending, to my fellow readers – Ian Thomas Shaw, Nicola Vulpe, Dave LeBlanc, Rita Pomade and Raymond Filip ¬– and to Guernica’s publisher-cum-author Connie Guzzo-McParland. The best part of it all, though, came afterwards, when we ordered “melanzane alla parmigiana” (eggplant Parmesan) at a nearby restaurant in Little Italy with other fellow writers.
