This blog acts as an assignment for UBC’s GRSJ 300 course with Professor Manjeet Birk.  The assignment will be evaluated and count towards the authors’ course grade.


Brooklyn Kemp

Brooklyn is a current graduate student at the School for Library and Archival Studies at the University of British Columbia.  She is currently working on her masters degree in Library and Information Sciences.  GRSJ 300 is the final course (being taken in cooperation with her graduate degree courses) of Brooklyn’s undergraduate degree- a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Gender, Race, Sexuality, and Social Justice Studies.  Brooklyn lives in Vancouver with her two dogs and soon-to-be wife.


Celine Tardif

Celine is in her third year of her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. Once graduated she plans on attending grad school to study education.  In the summer she returns home to Parksville (Vancouver Island) to be with her parents, older brother and her dog.
