This challenge demonstrates how autonomous agents like Genspark can support educators in generating original teaching materials, synthesizing academic research, and visualizing complex ideas. By entering a multistep task, educators can watch an AI-powered “superagent” break down and complete components like literature review, data extraction, synthesis, and creative design.
This activity highlights how AI can transform curriculum development—offloading time-intensive research and draft creation tasks—allowing instructors to focus on refining and personalizing content for learners.
Challenge
Genspark is a powerful AI agent tool that allows you to input complex, multistep prompts and observe how it autonomously performs tasks such as researching academic articles, synthesizing information, and designing materials like infographics or interactive learning activities.
In this challenge, you will explore the tool’s ability to generate a university-level learning resource based on current academic research.
Instructions
- Create an Account
- Go to Genspark and sign up using Google or email.
- Note: The free version offers limited credits—typically around 3 tasks, so use them wisely.
- Access the Superagent
- Once logged in, click on “Superagent” from the dashboard.
- Enter a Multistep Prompt
- In the task field, input a process that includes research, synthesis, and creative production. Example prompt: “Search academic research articles about the impact of Generative AI on the environment. Synthesize the findings and based on this, develop an infographic and a 1st-year university active learning activity.”
- Observe and Reflect
- Watch as Genspark performs each step: searching, analyzing, summarizing, and creating content.
- Take notes on how the tool sequences actions and handles different cognitive tasks (research vs. design).
