As our last assignment, we created a brief aimed at government policymakers who are interested in formulating or influencing policy.<\/p>\n

We were tasked with choosing a highly-specific topic, and I wanted to choose something close to home.\u00a0 Throughout the term I had heard about glass sponges in Howe Sound, so I decided to look into them further.\u00a0 It turns out they are crazy cool, super rare, and desperately in need of further protection from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.<\/p>\n
