This was a really hard task! I am not completely sure if all my questions properly fit into each category, but it really made me think carefully about my questions.
Using a teaching theme of your choice prepare 2-3 questions for each level of Bloom’s taxonomy.
My theme = orcas
- Remember – Recognizing, Recalling
- Describe what an orca looks like.
- In what environments can we find orcas?
- Understand – Interpreting, Exemplifying, Classifying, Summarizing, Inferring, Comparing, Explaining
- What are the differences between orcas and dolphins?
- Explain what an orca is in your own words.
- How would you classify an orca in the animal kingdom?
- Apply – Executing, Implementing
- What would happen to the food chain is there were no more orcas?
- Find some articles online about orcas in B.C., what trends are there?
- Analyze – Differentiating, Organizing, Attributing
- After reading a scientific report, illustrate the lifecycle of an orca.
- Evaluate – Checking, Critiquing
- Can you think of the ways an oil spill might affect the migration habits of orcas?
- Create – Generating, Planning, Producing
- Why is it important for us to protect orcas?
- How would you defend or dispute a bill to make hunting orcas legal?
