Shoemaker<\/strong>, PhD., is the illustrator of forty books for children.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">She has broad experience as an art teacher, curriculum specialist, filmmaker,\u00a0fund raiser and picturebook academic.\u00a0She teaches courses on children\u2019s literature\u00a0at UBC in LLED and the iSchool.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Bonnie Tulloch<\/strong> is a candidate in the Master of Arts in Children&#8217;s Literature Program. Her research interests include nonsense poetry and Canadian island-adventure fiction. She is currently completing a thesis on Shel Silverstein, Dr. Seuss, JonArno Lawson, and Dennis Lee, in which she examines how their nonsense verse fosters critical literacy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Kristy Woodcock<\/strong> is a librarian, storyteller, and the curator of <em>The Illustrated Alice<\/em>\u00a0exhibition\u00a0at UBC Library\u2019s Rare Books and Special Collections. Kristy is currently working on her Master of Arts in Children\u2019s Literature and writing a verse novel for children. She is a lover of nonsense and unreason, and can recite Lewis Carroll\u2019s \u201cJabberwocky\u201d by heart.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathryn E.
