The Progress of Love is a book of short stories published in 1986. In the same year, it won the Governor General’s Award for English Fiction, making it Alice Munro’s third GGA.

The first short story in the book shares its name, “The Progress of Love”, which tells the story of a young girl and her recollection of her upbringing and her family’s relationships.
