Welcome to the Class of 2022!

Allard Law’s Career Services Office (CSO) provides career-focused services and resources to approximately 600 JD students, 150 graduate students, and Allard Law alumni. We also provide Allard Law students with a connection to the broader legal community via recruitment initiatives, networking opportunities, and educational panels and workshops.

The CSO is staffed by three lawyers (Chira, Jayne, and Tracy), an Administrative Assistant (Loretta), and a second year JD Student Assistant (Victoria). We’re open year-round, M-F, 8:30am-4:30pm.

While the CSO does not find students jobs (wouldn’t that be nice?!), we do provide them with proven tools, strategies, training, and support to identify and achieve their individual career goals, which may include securing an articling position, clerkship, summer position, part-time work during law school, JD Advantage job, or something else entirely!

Want to know more about what we do? Visit our website, or contact us.

At this point, the CSO’s biggest recommendation for the Class of 2022 is to avoid spending too much time thinking about jobs just yet. Instead, reflect on what’s brought you to law school and your career goals, and continue to pursue all of the diverse non-law things that interest you. Knowing yourself, what’s important to you, and staying well-rounded will help keep you grounded throughout law school and have the added benefit of making you more employable down the road, regardless of the career you ultimately choose to pursue.

We look forward to meeting you during Orientation Week – any questions in the meantime, please feel free to reach out!

-The Career Services Office

Welcome to the Class of 2022!
