GEOG 370 Group Project

Welcome to our Geographic Information Systems project website! In this website you will find our group project as part of our Geog 370 ‘Introduction to GIS’ course. Where we have analysed agricultural land reserves in the Okanagan region in British Columbia, in relation to climate change and how this relates to food security, now and in the future.

As environment students at UBC, we chose the subject of food security because of how it relates to the environment and agricultural productivity. A particularly relevant topic in the Okanagan, valued for its orchards and vineyards, especially with the uncertainty of the future climate in the region.
