In the past I have taught differential calculus as an instructor as well as fluid mechanics as guest lecturer. In addition,\u00a0I have been working\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/students.ubc.ca\/about\/access\">UBC Access &amp; Diversity Centre<\/a> to help students with physical and mental disabilities in their math and physics courses. My most ambitious and exciting experience with A&amp;D was to work with a blind student in her calculus course. I was the primary instructor for 1.5 years. Details of this experience should be published soon.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of learning how to teach, I am currently participating in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ctlt.ubc.ca\/programs\/all-our-programs\/graduate-program-in-advanced-teaching-and-learning\/\">Certificate Program in Advanced Teaching and Learning<\/a>. \u00a0I have also attended various workshops and meeting including <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/gradteam\/our-programs\/graduate-student-in-teaching-mini-conference-2017\/\">mini-Conference on Graduate Students in Teaching<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ctlt.ubc.ca\/programs\/all-our-programs\/instructional-skills-workshops\/\">Instructional Skill Workshop<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/cis.apsc.ubc.ca\/team-based-learning\/\">Team-Based Learning<\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/adainitiative.org\/continue-our-work\/workshops-and-training\/\">Mathematics Ally Skills Workshop.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fall 2016: Differential Calculus, (Math 104, Section 104) Department of Mathematics, University of British Columbia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fall 2018: Differential Calculus, (Math 104, Section 106) Department of Mathematics, University of British Columbia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fall 2018: Heat Transfer (Mech 375) Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of British Columbia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Spring 2019: Linear Systems (Math 152, Section 208) Department of Mathematics, University of British Columbia<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Teaching is an important part of my academic aspiration.
