Here are the following capabilities that DataMed needs to support and fulfill the strategy for differentiating to Chinese immigrants and visitors by patient focused customer service.
A). Continue to offer non-emergency medical services and basic surgeries for current and new patients.
B). Centralized Database where all the patient information stored in the Electronic Health Record. This needs to be accessible on all computers within the clinic and for all doctors, nurses, and admin at DataMed for scheduling and information look up.
C). Have an individual folder for each patient and provide a means for DataMed to get to know patients on a more personal level as well as a channel for feedback and follow up experience.
D). Provide a means of open communication and appointment booking outside of being at the physically present at DataMed – Many clinics in the Metro Vancouver region offer excellent service while the patients are at the physical location, but there is a large gap when the patient is at home and have questions. By providing a way for patients to communicate with DataMed staff & doctors – DataMed can differentiate itself from the clinics in the region.
E). To be capable of processing, analyzing the gathered patient information to further their customer service and predict and offer future patient visits specific to their nature or trend.
F). Provide services in Cantonese, English and Mandarin – If DataMed is capable of providing services in Cantonese, English & Mandarin, Chinese patients will feel more comfortable communicating with our staff in their native language. This will encourage customer loyalty and discourage potential entrants into our market.
G). Be virtuous in all patient information – to provide all patients with optimal security and privacy. DataMed will in it’s best effort to keep all patient information confidential as there is no compromise to missing or loss patient data.
