Hey there!
I’m Amanda Bamford, first year commerce student at the UBC Sauder School of Business. Originally, I’m from Victoria, BC so I’m not exactly far from home. Far enough that I had to learn to do my own laundry, close enough that I can still see them on weekends if I like.
I’m a published poet and am rather private about the in-progress works. If you see me scribbling away in a notebook with bright eyes– implying I’m definitely not reviewing calculus– and I hastily hide the book as you come over to say a quick, “Hey!”, don’t be offended. I do that with everyone, except my ol’ Writing 12 teacher from high school but her reading my not-so-great-half-finished pieces was kinda required to get a mark.
Maybe I didn’t join thirty-thousand clubs and maybe I didn’t apply to be the first year rep of the anything-and-everything club and maybe I have no idea where I want to be in ten years, five years. All I know is I want to be happy and surrounded by people who make me happy and who I care dearly about. That and I would LOVE to get bitten by a radioactive spider in exchange for some superpowers. Hit me up if you know a guy.
Always feel free to come say hi! Meeting new people is always rad.
