So this is my first semester using UBC’s WordPress platform. For most other projects, I have used Weebly or Wix. I wanted to try using the UBC sites, as I find the advertising very annoying and distracting. With the switch, the one thing I did not expect was some of the limitations of the WordPress platform. It is with this in mind, I introduce this week’s task.
This week’s task was to create a Twine story. Unfortunately, I could not embed this into this site, so I set up an alternative Wix site just to display the project. You can find this project at the following URL:
Hi Amanda, I had a great time with Melindarosa and we lived satisfactorily ever after 🙂 This was a fun way to learn about programming – for me. I was curious to see how you would work on it as you mentioned that you are knowledgeable in HTML. I had also tried using the UBC wordpress for th ETEC540 course, and switched to Wix for ease of user interactions. I found that many other students included a “take it back” button, and your story also had a “go forward again” button. I wonder if this is due to your computing background. Your posts are very well-written, and your assignments are humourous – I look forward to reading more of your work!
