Hello everyone!
My name is Amela Sejdic (Sey-dich), and I am 23 years old and in my fourth year of my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at UBC. Before UBC, I studied briefly at KPU and SFU in the same major until I transferred to UBC in May 2020. I have joined as an Executive Committee Member in the Psychology Students’ Association in 2020.
I currently work as an Electronics Manufacturing Production Worker, and I have previous experiences in Higher Education (Notetaking and Tutoring), Retail Sales, Blog Writing, Marketing, and SEO Strategy. Additionally, I am tech-savvy, enjoy creating content for social media, and love interacting with people and helping others. I am a humanitarian and social justice advocate. I am also a Recruitment & Engagement Team Member at the Learning Buddy Network and an Elderdog Canada Dog Walker and Carer for Seniors. On the Volunteering Organizations page in the menu, you will find links to the organizations I am involved with for more information.
Fun fact about me: I have done some acting and photography.
