This AmeriMech symposium on Dynamics of periodic materials and structures is organzied under the auspices of the United States National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics.
Objectives for this two-day symposium are to bring together researchers working on periodic materials and structures – spread across material science, engineering, and solid-state physics – to a) share recent and emerging developments in periodic structures and materials (cellular/lattice materials; acoustic metamaterials; phononic crystals); b) identify areas requiring new developments in theory, manufacturing technologies, and applications.
