My name is Angela Wu and I am a student in the faculty of arts, majoring in psychology. I expect to graduate around 2020 and will likely continue school to obtain my masters degree in psychology. I chose my major after taking intro courses in psychology during my first year. I enjoyed the subject matter and liked the idea of gaining a deeper understanding about how the human mind works, how people think, what motivates them, etc. Psychology requires an ability to analyze and interpret research as well as the ability to understand complex subject matter on a variety of different topics depending on your area of specialization. I am currently developing these skills in my courses as well as gaining knowledge in other fields from the courses I am taking that fall outside my major. I am fluent in English and spoken Mandarin and plan on studying Spanish throughout my degree to hopefully reach some level of fluency. Hopefully, my ability to speak different languages will give me a competitive edge in the job market in the future.
