Canada businesses not seeing what foreign business are
As a follow up to my last blog, it seems that not only are Canadian employers hesitant to hire foreign employees, but Canadian companies are losing the countries top business women to foreign companies! Former Canada Post CEO Moya Greene states , “women are so successful at different levels” in Canadian business, she says “they are not seen and their shoulder is not tapped to be the leader of the organization.” How can we afford to lose these great business women to other countries? We are not willing to fight for them to stay in the country, unlike our neighbours in the south, “U.S. companies in particular are so proactive about hiring and promoting women that some Canadian business chiefs complain that it is difficult to compete for senior female executives with global experience”
So not only are we not hiring foreign employees, but we’re losing our top business women to foreign employers, Whats wrong with the corporations in Canada!?
