Field Trips

Not including the numerous trips we have made to the farm during the course of the term, the main field trip was on March 26th, 2013 to Snow Farm and Cropthorne Farm.
I really enjoyed this field trip because the weather was amazing that day and we were all excited to hop on a bus and get away from UBC for the day. Though the field trip was directed toward learning more about agroecosystems and crop rotation strategies, we still managed to have a good time.
It was also helpful to take notes as the farmers spoke because we later had to write a letter to the farmer (Lydia Ryall of Cropthorne Farm) regarding a proposal of a new crop rotation strategy for her farm.
