{"id":30,"date":"2014-11-26T17:13:10","date_gmt":"2014-11-27T00:13:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/apfnet05\/?page_id=30"},"modified":"2016-06-30T13:26:46","modified_gmt":"2016-06-30T20:26:46","slug":"course-format","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/apfnet05\/course-overview\/course-format\/","title":{"rendered":"Course Format"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This course is designed to be taken as a self-directed online open course with course content as open education resources for Asian-Pacific region.\u00a0 The entire or \u2018parts of\u2019 each course are welcomed to be repurposed in current and other courses and programs to support flipped, blended, and online learning.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The entire<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0course\u00a0includes\u00a09-12 weeks with self-paced learning and self-testing at the conclusion of each module.<\/span>\u00a0It is envisaged that each module will require 3-4 weeks to complete, allowing for about 50 hours of reading and effort to complete each module (about 13-17 hours per week). The course requires about 150 hours of total time commitment to complete the three modules.<\/p>\n<p>The resources can be accessed online by anyone at anytime.\u00a0Participants will learn through a self-directed learning approach. All course activities are self-directed and will not be graded. There will be no instructor-student communications.\u00a0A unique feature of this course is the Knowledge Caf\u00e9, where forum discussions among course takers\/students can be found.
