The aim is to provide a solid foundation so you can understand forest resource management and protection. After completing this module, you will be able to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Explain the basic principles for evaluating forest site quality.<\/li>\n<li>Identify practices that can be used to control species composition and structure of a forest stand by following the principle: \u201cThe right tree species for the right site\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Identify key practices that affect the successful establishment of forests, including selection of seed provenances, seedling production, tree planting, maintaining and harvesting.<\/li>\n<li>Describe the new trends of silviculture and explain the influencing factors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The objective of this module is to introduce you to the general principles, common practices and new trends in silviculture.
