Linear Relation Learning Goals

 

At the completion of this unit, you will be able to:

□ Know the two equations of lines

□ Know when to use each equation

□ Know which lines have positive slopes and which have negative slopes

□ Know how to find slope when given a graph

□ Know how to find slope when given two points

□ Know how to find the slope of a line parallel to another line

□ Know how to find the slope of a line perpendicular to another line

□ Know how to rearrange equations to put into y = mx + b form

□ Know how to find x and y intercepts

□ Know how to graph using x and y intercepts

□ Know how to graph given an equation in y = mx + b form

□ Know the slope of a horizontal line

□ Know how to graph a horizontal line

□ Know how to write the equation of a horizontal line

□ Know the slope of a vertical line

□ Know how to graph a vertical line

□ Know how to write the equation of a vertical line

□ Know how to graph a line properly (arrows, use a ruler)

To be successful in this unit, you should put forth your best effort at all times. This including completing your homework daily, preparing for quizzes and tests, handing in assignments on time. There are 14 days (including the test) in this unit. When you are ready, please proceed to Day 1.
