In case you ever feel like you need some help, or just a sympathetic ear, or that our tutorials just aren’t enough talking about writing: UBC offers help on campus. They offer general advice on writing as well as looking at individual assignments.

Motivation to keep writing in the dark month of November:

Written! Kitten! rewards you with a kitten for writing. You set the amount (100, 200, 500, or 750 words), type in a text box and when you hit that amount of words the website shows you a kitten.

750 words. They charge ($5), but they offer a bare bones site that give you little rewards for writing and analyses when you write and more, so you can see when you are actually productive.
