{"id":16,"date":"2017-09-17T11:31:27","date_gmt":"2017-09-17T18:31:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/astu400n\/?page_id=16"},"modified":"2017-10-12T14:57:14","modified_gmt":"2017-10-12T21:57:14","slug":"expectations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/astu400n\/course-description\/expectations\/","title":{"rendered":"Expectations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants will be expected to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide the questions that will determine the class discussion.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each week, a participant will share their concentration knowledge with the class summarizing the learnings from that week. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Sq6589aR1CE\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google Sketchboard<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, allowing them to contribute to course material. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seminarians will assist groups with improving their DPP in the last few weeks, as well as assess the final Proposal Presentations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Due to the nature of student directed seminars, all seminarians will also be expected to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regularly and actively contribute to class discussion and learning.<\/li>\n<li>Support their fellow seminarians with constructive feedback and advice throughout the term, as well as understanding the various backgrounds seminarians come from.<\/li>\n<li>Enrich the learning process by suggesting readings and helping to guide the direction the course will take.<\/li>\n<li>Collaboratively design the rubrics and standards that all seminarians will be held to in evaluation of assignments and projects.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the grading of assignments and projects, applying standards fairly and evenly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Participants will be expected to: Provide the questions that will determine the class discussion.
