Welcome to my blog! By now you should now that my name is Athena Szabo, and I am a student at the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business. I transferred to Sauder for my second year of university after attending the University of British Columbia – Okanagan in 2011-2012.

My roots are not only in Kelowna, but also in a small town called Grand Forks in southern BC, which has a population about the size of the Commerce faculty at UBC. As much as I love the BC Interior for its sunny weather and endless highways (perfect combination for motorcycle riding!), I am thoroughly impressed by the beautiful city of Vancouver. 

Every day at Sauder is an adventure. I am surrounded by bright people and supportive educators, which makes the learning experience worthwhile. As a big-picture thinker, I am particularly excited to learn about marketing, which is a facet of business that encompasses all other aspects of commerce.
