G4S Directors Resign

It’s been two months since the opening of the London 2012 Olympics, but the security related issues seem to be dragging on even after the event has ended.

Event security arose to become one of the biggest problems during the course of the Olympics. G4S failing to provide enough personnel has led to thousands of military men deployed in order to keep the running of the Games smooth.

The most recent news on this issue is that two senior directors have resigned as a result of their failure to correctly employ and use the available human resources. In this event, it’s not hard to see how a company functions in terms of recruitment and management when an issue so severe breaks out. Two of the senior directors have resigned, showing how responsibility is taken on when a crisis happens, but they kept the “face” of the company, Chief Executive Nick Buckles knowing that it is him that represents G4S.

In this case, G4S has made a move that not only shows how they take on the responsibility of failing to succeed the public’s expectations of the games, but have also kept their most valuable card which led to a 2% boost in share prices.
