Hi there, it’s a pleasure to meet you

Our names are Lana Finley and Sabrina Gasparac. We’re the owners of Ball Buster Academy and it’s wonderful to get to meet you.

BALL BUSTER ACADEMY is devoted to increasing quality training for female soccer players. We provide a variety of services to you and your team, all of which can be found on this site. Our main goal is to make YOU (yes, you!) the stellar soccer star you’ve always dreamed to be. Already a footy star? Perfect. We’ll make you better.

A bit about us…

Lana was born in Winnipeg, MB but raised in the beautiful Okanagan since she was 2 years old. Lana first touched a soccer ball at the age of 4 and instantly fell in love with the game. She grew up playing at the Select level for Kelowna United. Her team captured a Provincial Championship – an accomplishment to be proud of which remains seared in her memory. Her passion only grew and by the time she got to University, she was recruited to play as a striker for the UBC Okanagan Heat varsity team. In her time there the team achieved many “personal bests” including capturing 2 Provincial silvers – a first in school history. In the summer, Lana plays in the Pacific Coastal Soccer League – the highest level of soccer in Canada after Lady Major League Soccer and the National team. She has played in the U-21 division for Kelowna and at the Premier division for Okanagan Football Club. Soccer has been a lifelong commitment for Lana, so it only makes sense that she would want to continue on a path in the soccer world by helping with the development of future female soccer stars.

Sabrina was born in Richmond, BC and grew up in Langley where she played out her youth soccer career with the Langley Football Club. She played at the Gold level for many years as a part-time goalie, part-time mid-fiedler and attended numerous elite goalkeeping academies. It wasn’t until the beginning of her University soccer career with the UBC Okanagan Heat that she became a full-time keeper. She captained the team in her final two years and received recognition in the league (British Columbia Collegiate Athletic Association/Pacific Western Athletic Association) as a First-Team All-Star in 2010 and 2011 and Athlete of the Week in 2010. She was also nominated for UBC Okanagan’s “Female Student-Athlete of the Year” award in 2010 and 2011, as well as receiving the team “MVP” and “Leadership” awards. Her summers involve playing a lot of soccer in the Pacific Coastal Soccer League in the Premier and U-21 divisions with teams like the Fraser Valley Action, Okanagan Whitecaps, and Okanagan Football Club. She has been coached by some of Canada’s finest coaches and wishes to pass on her knowledge to similar aspiring and established young female athletes.

Both attained a Bachelors degree in Human Kinetics from UBC Okanagan with a major in Clinical Exercise Physiology.

  1. I just wanted to say that I absolutely loved working with you girls! Great training that was hard work but fun at the same time. I could tell that I was a bigger impact on the field along with feeling great off the field.
If anyone is trying to decide if they should sign up with BBA… DO IT!!!

    Much love,

  2. It’s a pleasure to meet you both and to learn about Ball Buster Academy’s dedication to providing quality training for female soccer players. Your passion for the game and commitment to helping aspiring soccer stars shine is truly inspiring. Using an SRD (Status Check) becomes evident as it allows you to assess individual progress, identify areas for improvement, and tailor training programs accordingly. Implementing regular status checks ensures that each player receives personalized attention and support, helping them reach their full potential and become the stellar soccer stars they’ve always dreamed of being.

  3. Being trained by experts through a devoted academy is a wonderful opportunity for any emerging soccer player. In addition, the training academy devoted specifically to females drives more confidence in the parents and the female children. Similarly, having the knowledge to check your SRD SASSA status online is actually a convenience.
