The purpose of the e-portfolio is to reflect upon a four year academic journey that involved research, professional interest, and focus around educational technologies for students with special needs. Because learning styles are different for students with special needs especially, these students require technologies that are assistive and supportive of their specific learning accommodations within an inclusionary setting.
The purpose of the e-portfolio is important because it will provide me with an opportunity to review what I have learned in relation to my teaching profession, and how it has profoundly affected my pedagogical practices in relation to students with special needs in classrooms that promote inclusion. As well, it is important for me to consider how I will continue to ensure that my teaching skills, accumulated knowledge, differentiated instruction, and educational philosophy remain viable, practical, and effective for me and for students with special needs.
