The BC Studies Conference is unaffiliated with any academic organization or journal, and it draws neither on membership fees nor a sustaining grant. Instead, each host institution receives a small float from the previous host that they can use to begin the work and that they must replenish and pass along to the subsequent host. The BC Studies conference thus depends on registration fees. Additional support this year comes from a remarkable range of generous sponsoring organizations and units at UBC and other institutions.

We are offering registration on a sliding scale in an effort to make the conference as accessible as possible. The geared-to-income registration rates below are suggestions, and we encourage you to pay the highest amount that you comfortably can. Doing so keeps this year’s event accessible to registrants with less financial means and ensures that the conference can continue in 2027.

We can’t wait to see you in May!
