Dear Parents,

Here is some more information about our field trip on Friday, May 17^th:

 

1. We will be leaving the school promptly at 8:00 a.m., as soon as the bus can be here. Students should meet me out front no later than 7:50 a.m.  Parents who are coming with us can meet us at the school.  If your child needs to be seated somewhere special on the bus (motion sickness etc.) please let us know.

 

2. This will be an all-day trip so please pack your child a large lunch, snacks and a water bottle in his/her backpack. Please only pack water as juice will be sticky if spilled on the bus.  You may want to include a second snack for the ride home in the afternoon.

 

3. In terms of clothing for the day please ensure your child is dressed for the weather. We have also been advised that the “bugs” can be bad there so please send your child with clothing he/she can put on over top (i.e. sweats to go over shorts, a long-sleeved shirt etc.).  Also, please make sure that your child has a sturdy pair of shoes and socks for the day (no sandals please).  You may want to include a hat and sunscreen.

 

5. We anticipate being back at the school at approximately 4:15 p.m. However, please be aware that if there is construction on the highway we may be delayed.  Please let us know if there are any problems with this plan.
