Read Aloud: We are reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets written by J.K. Rowling.
Math
Students have been working at their own level with the math materials. Some students are still practicing their number recognition skills and subtraction skills, while others are doing dynamic addition into the thousands. Other students have started graphing and algebraic thinking.
Some students are working beyond the grade 2 level and have begun learning multiplication and division.
Social Studies
We are continuing to study ourselves with the hope that understanding ourselves will lead to a greater understanding of the people in our community and the world. During our last month of school we will be focusing on the world. We have spent so much time learning about ourselves and those around us that we will begin to consider ourselves as global citizens.
