A blog for BIOL 420: Ocean Conservation and Sustainability

Hello! Welcome to “Ocean Conservation and You”.

This blog has been created as a social media interface for the UBC course BIOL 420, “Ocean Conservation and Sustainability”. I’m its sole author, and you can read more in my “About Me” page.

With conservation science being an active, results-based discipline, communication of the science is paramount to making sure our research and advocacy efforts go a long way. Practicing multiple avenues for scientific communication in an ocean conservation context means that in the future, I’ll hopefully be able to draw out a simple message from messy issues in a way that can have a meaningful impact.

Almost all posts from here will also be cross-posted to my personal blog, Sea Change Happening, to try and cultivate a regular habit of ocean conservation analysis.

Keep an eye on here for activity in the next few months!
