Karina’s section is through a bunch of leaves the stem is shown in the lower part of the picture.  The picture shows not only the vascular bundles (clown faces) of the vascular tissue system, but also the pink cells of the ground tissue system.  They are pink because the vacuoles contain anthocyanins.  Great shot Karina!

A couple of pictures taken at Carcross, Yukon of Rubus idaeus (wild raspberry).  This plant belongs in the rose family (Rosaceae) which includes lots of really yummy fruits (apples, pears, strawberries, blackberries, peaches, plums…….)
