In this month\u2019s interesting read, a crowd-sourcing methodology was used to pose this question to a large number of experienced online instructors from a variety of disciplines. Their collective answers were coded and four overarching themes emerged: 1) supporting student success, 2) providing clarity and relevance through content structure and presentation, 3) establishing presence to encourage a supportive learning community, and 4) being better prepared and more agile as an educator.<\/p>\n<p>You can learn more about this study and get a sampling of the specific recommendations that illustrate each theme by reading the paper at the link below.<\/p>\n<p>Dunlap, J., &amp; Lowenthal, P.
