Join us for a fascinating session with Dr. Nicholas Diamond from the Government of Canada’s Impact and Innovation Unit, where he’ll pull back the curtain on cutting‑edge behavioural, social, and data science being used to tackle national priorities.
Dr. Diamond will share new insights from a major research program on trust and distrust in public institutions to redesign government behaviours to earn trust and how they deep dive into large‑scale national surveys, randomized controlled trials, and sludge audits that reveal surprising leverage points for change.
About Our Speaker
Dr. Nicholas Diamond is the Acting Senior Lead of Behavioural and Data Science in the Privy Council Office’s Impact and Innovation Unit. In this role, he uses scientific and data-driven methods to improve policy, programs, and service delivery across the Government of Canada – for example, leading a national multi-year program of research on Canada’s information ecosystem, trust in institutions, and vulnerabilities in Canadian democracy. Prior to joining Impact Canada, Nicholas completed a PhD in cognitive neuroscience at the University of Toronto and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
