What Program Alumni Say

“As a market researcher, I’ve spent years understanding people’s behaviour. This program gave me the tools to actually change it. The hands-on capstone project meant we weren’t just learning theory, we were living it with a real client. The faculty were incredible, and I left with both a new skillset and a fundamentally different way of thinking about change. What stuck with me most is that instead of trying to change people (which is hard!), you learn to change the situation. Suddenly these massive, overwhelming challenges become a series of smaller, solvable design problems.”

“The Advanced Professional Certificate in Behavioural Insights is an excellent program for anyone interested in understanding human behaviour and applying it to real-world challenges. It combines strong theoretical foundations with practical, hands-on experience through a rigorous capstone project. The instructors are exceptional, and during the capstone, you have highly capable mentors in your corner who guide you to the finish line. Having completed a few BI programs in the past, I found this certificate to be the most comprehensive and pivotal in supporting my transition into the field. Since completing it, I’ve had the privilege of working with the Behavioural Insights Group at the BC Public Service and now at the Behavioural Public Policy Lab at UBC.”
