Our first two cohorts of BI Practitioners worked in teams to complete an amazing 15 randomized controlled trials! As teams turn these projects into working papers, conference presentations, and journal articles, we&#8217;ll be posting them to the BI wiki at <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/biwiki\/bi-at-ubc\/\">https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/biwiki\/bi-at-ubc\/<\/a>. Our next featured project is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\" id=\"PayParking\">I Saw the Sign! Using Behaviourally-Informed Signs to Encourage Parking Compliance<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">James Climenhage, Mandy Khoo, &amp; Whitney Queisser <br><em>(Advisor: David Hardisty)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">[ <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/biwiki\/files\/2022\/08\/UBC-DIBS-2022-CBI-03-Pay-Parking-Signs.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Working Paper PDF<\/a> ]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project aimed to improve compliance with paid parking in the City of Vancouver. New \u201cBehavioural Insights informed\u201d parking signs incorporated salience by increasing sign and font size and adding more colour. Due to feasibility constraints, the control and BI-informed signs were compared in a quasi-experimental trial between two locations in the city.
