IOS Fitness APP — February 2014 – April 2014
Designed and implemented an iOS app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that allows the user to keep track of High Intensity Interval Training workout. Designed and Developed a user interface to be used while in motion; user’s can control it without taking off equipment such as boxing gloves from hands. (Academic)
Web Development Projects
UWinnipeg Students of Science Association Website – Designed, implemented, and maintained Association’s website that integrated all different social media outlets in one place and allowed more than one user to add.
Aquarium Mobile Control Project — November 2015 – present
Conceived, and designed web application and mobile app that allows user to monitor and control functions of an aquarium wirelessly from the web or a mobile device through a raspberry pi. User is able to control lights, temperature, water levels, as well as change the tank water and feed fish in the aquarium. (personal , ongoing)
NWHACKS – Going Green Android App— March 2015
During the largest 3 day hackathon in Western Canada, I partnered up with four other computer science students to develop an android app that would let students log carbon leaks throughout the campus such as water leaks, burnt out light bulbs, etc. and create a user friendly priority list for maintenance staff to easily use. We were not able to fully complete the app but came up with a working prototype which we plan on finishing over the summer.

Software Test Developer Intern – SMART Technologies September 2015-April 2016
Worked As a Developer and a Tester under the Drivers, ESI, Ink team. Responsible for a variety of different aspects on the team and as an intern. As a developer I helped create HTML, Javascript, and NBSDK widgets as well as Addons to the SMART Notebook Software. As a tester I was required to implement tests using RobotFrameWork and develop testing frameworks by modifying libraries such as Atomac in python. From an IT perspective I was required to set up the testing lab using FOG server for automated large scale machine re-imaging, setting up multiple Linux servers running VM’s controlled through TeamCity, and write bash scripts for automation of certain tasks. Was also required to participate in SCRUM meetings, retrospectives and planning as well as project demos and presentations.

Operated the Optical Lab at one of Lenscrafters highest volume optical Labs in Canada. Manufactured, fitted, and adjusted eyeglass lenses and frames. Maintained optical lab equipment and lab safety standards. Helped open and close the store and balance end of day accounts.

Conceived, planned, as well as organized several youth events such as camps, retreats, and conferences for well over 300 students in attendance. Served as the communications bridge between the students and faculty as well as the school and the Sikh Society of Manitoba board members with past and present projects.

Martial Arts Instructor – Sikh Society of Manitoba

Established and maintained the first sikh martial arts school in Winnipeg. Taught students as well as created ties within the city while participating in city and community events. Maintained a key role in the Winnipeg Folklorama for 4 years running.
ER and Registration Volunteer – Seven Oaks General Hospital

Served as a volunteer in the Emergency ward. Escorted patients, supplies, and files within the department and assisted doctors, nurses, and clerks with a wide range of activities. Was recognized by the hospital for serving over 1000 hours to the hospital. Helped implement easier and more efficient file and mail delivery systems within the department that cut down on labour and time consumption.
