Hello everyone!
Welcome and thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Hasti Nozadi I am a second- year speech science student at UBC! One of my future goals is to become a speech- language pathologist. I was born in Tehran, Iran, and my family immigrated to Canada when I was three years old. I have lived in North Vancouver ever since. Since I consider myself to be an open-minded individual, I was immediately drawn to the description of this course. My hobbies outside of school include reading, listening to music, and painting.
It is both quite thrilling and a bit nerve-racking for me to take this course. When I take a new class, I try not to develop expectations about how it will go. I generally prefer to take it week by week. Taking this approach helps me to stress less and focus more on what the course will teach me. With everything that is going on in the world with the COVID-19 pandemic, I feel that this blog is a great way to connect with my other peers in the class. The pandemic has really taught me to learn to appreciate the little things. Prior to the pandemic, I would’ve complained about the trip I’d have to make to UBC and now I would like nothing more but to get back to my routine of making my way to UBC. In conclusion, I am looking forward to reading the books and being able to create responses to the assigned readings.
I look forward to being able to read all of your responses and I hope to have the opportunity to meet you all in person this term.
