I am an educator. I have worked in the British Columbia public school system for nearly a decade as a social studies, physical education, home economics and English teacher.   Even though my background is primarily in geography and environmental science, my experience working for two different school districts in seven different schools has steered my career down a much more diverse path.  As a Masters of Education student at the University of British Columbia I am currently building upon my experiences by exploring theory and practice related to education technology and media.  My goal is to build upon my teaching pedagogy to include a critical understanding of the affordances and limitation of educational technology so that I am able to assess and implement tools that aid learning in my many teaching environments.
