My last day at BCIT
Hi! My name is Brianna Craver and I am a teacher candidate from UBC. My background is in technology education and silversmithing. In 2017 I hope to have that shiny piece of paper from UBC saying I can legally help shape young minds as a teacher in shop class.
I was born and raised in North Vancouver, BC. Fortunately, and maybe unfortunately, I still reside on the lovely North Shore. As a true North Vancouver resident I love wandering the many trails, snowboarding and camping. I love to travel and look forward to any excuse to lace up my shoes and throw on my pack and explore.

I am naturally curious, so learning new things and being a life long learner are important to me. My education has many interesting facets it all started at Vancouver Community College with a diploma in Jewelry Art and Design, which I completed in 2011. After that I went to Capilano University for a year to study Business; however my passions laid elsewhere. I spent two years working on my jewelry and serving tables, in a pub I still work at today. I felt really isolated during the day while working at my jewelry bench, which led me to realize long-term I would like to with people; but how? I found the TTED,Teacher Technology Education, program at BCIT. I thought BCIT maybe an interesting opportunity to impact youth and share my love of working with my hands and silversmithing. Completing my diploma at BCIT in spring 2016 I feel has been my greatest achievement to date. The next stepping stone is completing UBC, which I am sure will be another great achievement.

I have always loved crafting and having busy hands. It all started with arts and crafts, beading and art. Today I have jewelry studio, which I would like to make more time for in the future, but I primarily do custom orders. Here is a photo of me at my jewelry bench!
