Integrating my theory into the classroom
I would like to challenge my students to engage themselves with the key points of the Apprentice Mindset as often as possible. On a minimum of one entry per week, I will charge my students with the task of writing a short entry that describes their experience that week in relation to a key point from the Apprentice Mindset. (See “The Apprentice Mindset” page on the task bar above).
I will have each of the key points printed out on a piece of poster paper, and this poster will be pinned on the wall at the back of the classroom. The students task will be to drop a small note into the drop box underneath the poster that describes their experience from the week in relation to one or more of the key points.
Hopefully by the end of my practicum, each student will have added a note to the drop box concerning each key point to the apprentice mindset. Students will also be encouraged to think of new key points for defining the apprentice mindset.
