This week, November 21-27, 2022, is National Nursing Students’ Week in Canada. To celebrate, NNPBC is running a National Nursing Students’ Week Instagram Contest open to nursing students in any designation program located anywhere in BC! We would love your help in sharing information about this contest with your networks.

The contest runs from November 20-December 10, 2022. Two winners will be randomly selected after the closing date to win both a $250 gift card and free NNPBC membership for 2023!

Support the re-opening of the Food Hub Market– a student-led grocery aiming to provide at-cost foods in a welcoming community space at the UBC Vancouver campus. All are welcome to shop the market Mondays-Thursdays from 10:30 am – 6:30 pm in the CIRS Building (in the former Loop Cafe space at 2260 West Mall).

Information session for BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre – FIR Unit on November 24, 2022 at 2.00pm PST.
BC Women’s Hospital’s Families in Recovery (FIR) Program is a provincial specialized perinatal service that provides primary care to antenatal and postpartum women who use substances and to infants exposed to substances in an interdisciplinary approach. Located at BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre in Vancouver, FIR opened in 2003 and is a first of its kind program in Canada. Through the provision of treatment and supports focused on principle based practice and integrated programming, the interdisciplinary team at FIR focuses on stabilization and harm reduction in a recovery oriented approach to care.
