Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study is to describe the experiences of racism that Bachelor of
Science in Nursing (BSN) students encounter in clinical practices (e.g. in clinical placements or
preceptorship) and the consequences of these experiences. We want to learn more about BSN
students’ academic preparation to manage exposure to racism in clinical practice. This will help inform
nursing academia to prepare current and future students to face the challenge of racism in clinical
settings. We are inviting Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color (BIPOC) BSN Students who have
experienced racism in clinical practice to help us.
