Post this list on your blog with some commentary about what you discovered.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cherie Au&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/cheriesyau\/2016\/02\/08\/my-sense-of-home\/\">My Sense of Home<\/a>&#8220;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Similarities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a sense that people are an important part of what makes a home<\/li>\n<li>traditions (for me this would be better worded as routine, but it&#8217;s a similar sentiment)<\/li>\n<li>a sense that home can shift from one place to another<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Differences<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a sense of displacement\u00a0and yearning for home<\/li>\n<li>a dissatisfaction with the actions of people at her home<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nicole Galloway&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/english470\/2016\/02\/06\/the-seasons-of-home\/\">The Seasons of Home<\/a>&#8220;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Similarities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>we both grew up in Lynn Valley<\/li>\n<li>dependent on childhood memories and adventures in the place we call home<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Differences<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>more focused on the place than the people (although the people are what shape her connection in the first place)<\/li>\n<li>more attached to history of home<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Danielle Dube&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/ddube\/2016\/02\/08\/22-at-home-behind-the-mask\/\">At Home Behind the Mask<\/a>&#8220;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Similarities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a sense that people are an important part of what makes a home<\/li>\n<li>home as a place of comfort<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Differences<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>considers the place where she can perform an activity (hockey) to be part of her home<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The most common thread running through all the blogs I read is that people are at the core of what makes a home for us. Even some of the other common threads like comfort, stability, culture, and traditions are all things that are a function of the people surrounding us.
