Canadian Geese

A Deeper Look at the Mythological Coyote

Artwork by Archie Beaulieu titled Alert. 2007.

Welcome to the conference site for Canadian Geese’s ENGL 372 course on Indigenous Narratives. Canadian Geese is a group of three UBC students working and researching collaboratively to create an open dialogue regarding our research topic. For this conference we will be looking into the mythos of Coyote. Throughout our course readings Coyote has been a character represented in many fashions, and used in a myriad of ways to highlight differing aspects of Indigenous narratives. It is this ever evolving nature of Coyote that we wish to explore by diving deeper into  how and why the figure of Coyote adapts and evolves across various forms of Indigenous narratives.
