Balsam Root Flower is the visual emblem of CASCA 2024 to honour the unceded and ancestral lands of the syilx people, where the conference will take place. smu\u2019xa\u0294an, in the nsyilxcn language, holds multifaceted significance in syilx culture. The logo and visual materials for CASCA 2024 were created in collaboration with Westbank First Nation youth during a logo design workshop held on July 26<\/span>th<\/span>, 2023, at the WFN Youth Center.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the syilx young designers who creatively narrated stories through their designs: Lozen Lindley (the winner of the logo competition), Alexa Posella, Raylah, Waverly Butter, Tristien Bright, Talon Thiesen, and Quill Lindley.
