I view education as a process of developing the whole person into someone who understands the world around them, cares for others and the environment, and takes responsibility for their actions. In my role as a physical educator, I strive to deliver content that relates to all of these concepts, and to find ways to effectively reach diverse groups of learners. This philosophy stems from the concept of quality physical education as a human right, the goal of educating students to be active for life, and the concept of health and physical education contributing to development of the whole person.
I am interested in exploring themes related to reconciliation, fostering resilience in children, and positive approaches to managing challenging behaviours, all in the context of health and physical education settings.
